Hello, my name is Amreen Sauji, I am a Junior here at Blue Valley West. I came into this class with a basic background in photography or rather photo taking, because of my involvement in digital imaging, and just taking random photos whether it be of my friends or food. I am not a completely artistic person I can draw and paint, but I have never really connected with it. The only I really have used it would be for school projects or doodling during class. But this class has helped me become a better photographer which is something I know my friends can appreciate. Scrolling through my photos I found a theme that stuck out to me was that I love to take pictures in places or with people I care about. For example, I took a lot of pictures of my friends and family, additionally, I took the majority of pictures at my home. This is most likely because I tend to gravitate towards people I know, so there is no surprise when I do the same in my photos. Taking these photographs is an expression of me, but more specifically it has allowed me to advance my skills in taking photography as well as my knowledge on how to take and process film photography.
